different to what we are
accustomed to see for all
passengers who are able to be
on deck are out to enjoy
the beautiful evening and
small groups of passengers
enjoying games, singing and
moonlight walks is not an
uncommon sight. and to
add to the merriement it is
thought that this will be
the last night we can
enjoy ourselves aboard for we
expect to reach Queenstown
tomorrow (Sunday) evening
and also arrive in Liverpool
Monday evening.
Jan 9th.
This Sunday the second
one spent aboard,
The morning looked rather
gloomy and was raining 
But as the day wore on it cleared
up and by 10. AM. the deck’s
wre dry and pleasent to walk
on, After writing a letter home
to be posted at Queenstown.
I now prepare for church which
is to be held in the Saloon.
(Noon) I enjoyed the church
service very much for it was
a change after being amoungst
the passengers such as we have
on board. the service was read
from the English Prayer Book,
All the sailors were present.
they being marched in single
file. 2. PM
After being so good this morn-
ing the sailors are all hard
at work preparing to make
a landing, They are hauling
cables and cordage on deck
and preparing the anchors
to page 19  to page 21
